Dr. Soliman attended medical school at The Pennsylvania State University, College of Medicine, Hershey, Pennsylvania. He completed both his internship and residency in pediatrics at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, Los Angeles. He performed a fellowship in eonatology/perinatology at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center as well. Dr. Soliman is board certified in pediatrics and neonatology. Dr. Soliman specializes in all aspects of newborn medicine, with particular interest in the care of extremely low birth weight preterm infants.

Research

He is currently researching noninvasive ventilitory strategies in extremely low birth weight infants and quality improvement for the care of preterm infants. To this end, Dr. Soliman is program director and primary investigator in a UniHealth Foundation Grant for CHOC’s Extremely Low Birth Weight Program. He is also primary investigator in the randomized trial of non synchronized nasal intermittent positive pressure ventilation versus bubble nasal continuous positive airway pressure preliminary study funded by the PSF Tithe Research Grant.
