Nadia Torres-Eaton, Psy.D., is a licensed psychologist who is board certified in clinical psychology. She coordinates inpatient and outpatient psychosocial services to the Hyundai Cancer Institute and provides outpatient psychotherapy to children, teens and young adults with a range of medical illnesses and presenting psychological concerns. Her interests are in pediatric psychology, oncology, multicultural and diversity issues, family systems, integrative medicine and palliative care.
Dr. Torres-Eaton completed a doctoral degree at the University of La Verne, an internship at City of Hope National Medical Center in Duarte, Calif., and a post-doctoral fellowship at CHOC Children’s. She is a member of the American Psychological Association and the National Latino Psychological Association, and she is a fellow of the American Academy of Clinical Psychology. She joined CHOC Children’s in 2007. She is a bilingual/bicultural Spanish-speaking clinician.
In addition to her clinical activities, Dr. Torres-Eaton provides supervision and mentoring to the psychology post-doctoral fellows and the psychology interns during their rotations through the oncology service. She is passionate in her role of mentoring new clinicians in the psychological treatment of oncology patients.
