Committed to improving the health of children, Dr. ArashMahajerin is involved in numerous clinical research projects. He is the principal investigator of a research project involving thrombophilia testing in children and co-investigator of two research projects involving the incidence of VTE in children with elective neurosurgical procedures and assessing differences in fatigue experienced by patients undergoing proton beam therapy vs. conventional radiotherapy.
Dr. Mahajerin is board certified in pediatrics. Prior to joining CHOC Children’s, Dr. Mahajerin attended medical school at Michigan State University/College of Human Medicine. He performed his pediatric residency and conducted his fellowship training in pediatric hematology-oncology at Riley Hospital for Children/University of Indiana.
