Research

Dr. Nieves' clinical interests include infectious diseases of the newborn and the immuno-compromised, with special focus on fungal infections, infantile pertussis, resistant bacterial organisms, and invasive pneumococcal disease. Currently, she is engaged in a multicenter pertussis clinical research and a variety of drug trials to determine the correct antibiotic dosing and indication for pediatric patients.
