Dr. Kanofsky received his M.D. degree from the University of Iowa College of Medicine, and completed his residencies in Ob-Gyn at the University of Wisconsin Hospitals (Madison, Wisconsin) and the Milton S. Hershey Medical Center, Pennsylvania State University (Hershey, Pennsylvania).
Dr. Kanofsky's practice at CHOC is limited to Pediatric and Adolescent Gynecology. Many of the common problems that he is consulted on include menstrual irregularities such as dysfunctional uterine bleeding and irregular cycles, ovarian cysts, female congenital birth defects including imperforate hymen, and traumatic genital straddle injuries. His specialty overlaps with many others here at CHOC. Many patients are co-managed between Gynecology and other specialties in a team approach.
Dr. Kanofsky is a member of Phi Beta Pi Medical Fraternity, a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and a Member of the Orange County OB/GYN Society, the Orange County Medical Association, the California Medical Association, the Association of Reproductive Health Professionals and the American Society of Colposcopy and Cervical Pathology.
Dr. Kanofsky indicates that, "Our office welcomes new patients. You will find us caring, experienced and conscientious. Our goal is to provide our patients with excellent care. For emergencies, we are able to offer same day appointments and twenty-four hour availability. My office staff speaks Spanish. We look forward to the privilege of providing your health care needs."
